I have never experienced the level of customer care, and expediency, that I have with Blue Umbrella.From when I asked for a quote to when the job was done was a total of two weeks. Tony was incredible with explaining why their approach made the most sense for me and the lifetime home guarantee made me so much more comfortable.They left the basement and yard incredibly clean, they paid attention to the little stuff.My favorite part, during the workers lunch break, they blew the leaves off of the yard so my boys could keep playing soccer, and even kicked the ball around with them.While I will never need their services again, that is possibly the best recommendation I can give. My home is safe, my family is safe, I have peace of mind, and I appreciate how well Blue Umbrella accomplished everything while providing a great customer experience.

Update: After initially giving Blue Umbrella a four-star rating, the owner, Steve, personally reached out and stopped by to address my concerns. He fixed the grommets on the sump pump lids, ensuring the system is airtight to prevent radon leakage. Steve even went the extra mile by checking and fixing loose connections in the Radon system, which wasn't his responsibility, and he's also helping me with improving the air quality in my home. I’m incredibly impressed with Steve’s dedication and how he went above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction. I’m thrilled I chose Blue Umbrella for the job and highly recommend their services!I chose Blue Umbrella Waterproofing after getting quotes from multiple vendors, and their pricing and specs were the best. Additionally, the airtight lids on the sump pump pits had grommets with holes that were too large, defeating the purpose of the airtight seals. I gave them a chance to resolve these issues, but they were hesitant, and I ended up spending a lot of time at Home Depot finding the right parts.Another issue was that while moving the washer out and back into the laundry area, it was scarred, which was disappointing.Overall, the team was great, but more attention to detail would have made the experience much better.

I'm happy that I chose blue umbrella to fix my basement water issues, after interviewed 4 vendors.Everyone I encountered has been perfect and professional.From Marvin who gave me fact-based educational solution analysis and honest suggestions, to the 3 members work crew who were super experienced and handled the work beautifully.I had one-wall, two-window drains and a sump pump installed. The work started at 9am and finished before 4pm.The work crew definitely knew what they are doing and I can feel the craftsmanship spirit.They even helped to remove the dryer, not to mention covered everything before the work, and cleaned all the work areas (inside and outside) afterward.(It turned out mold already appears on the lower part of the wall, I'm so glad I've decided to fix the problem before it's too late)

Absolutely amazing from the first phone call to the last this business is run by individuals who care! When you call, you speak to the knowledgeable owner Steve. Tony (the project manager) made an appointment with me and took the time to explain the whole process to me, he even went as far to explain the differences between their drainage system and other companies. They kept me up to date and informed the day of install, with the owner even showing up on sight to introduce himself and make sure everything was running smoothly. As a realtor I meet a lot of different venders in this business that my clients use, but from now on I will ONLY recommend them. Blue Umbrella delivers a service and experience that the totally unmatched. 10 out of 10!

We had the best experience of getting French drains from start to finish. Jim was very personable and explained every detail of a French drain and how it works (which is nice to know). His presentation was very informative to make sure we made the right choice. The crew that came over to do the job was excellent. Steve the owner came by after to check the basement just to make sure the best job was done. Steve made sure they went above and beyond with cleaning up the aftermath. Steve then installed the dehumidifier and made sure we knew how to clean the filters. This company makes sure you are all set as opposed to installing and leaving. Highly recommend.

I recently had Blue Umbrella Waterproofing take on the monumental task of waterproofing my basement, and let me tell you, they did an extraordinary job! Before they came along, my basement had turned into an indoor pool every time it rained. But now? Not a drop of water, not a hint of mold—just a perfectly dry basement.I'll admit, I was a bit nervous when I saw them practically taking my entire basement apart. But, as it turns out, it was all for good reason. They were quick, efficient, and incredibly professional throughout the process. In no time, the basement was back together, and it looked (and functioned) better than ever.A special shout-out goes to Marvin, the associate I worked with. I went out & obtained multiple estimates, as I was getting water in my basement. In the end, Blue Umbrella was far above everyone else's presentation. We hired them, job was done in 1 day, & we haven't had water since. From the original presentation, to the work being done, to the follow up afterwards, I cannot speak highly enough. From start to finish the experience with Blue Umbrella was amazing. Marvin came out exactly as scheduled and not only worked through a solution with me but also gave a really informative presentation. From there he was available for any and all questions. His team came out a few weeks later and did an amazing job. They were prompt and our french drain was put in in under a day! To top it off he brought cookies the day of, customer service unmatched! I also love that the system is insured not just for when we own the home but beyond, gives really good peace of mind.

Blue Umbrella did an excellent job waterproofing my finished basement by installing a French drain sumps and battery backup. The process was well explained by Steve and the work was within schedule and scope. I was very happy that they made the extra effort to place the second sump into a tight closet space, invisible to someone entering the finished basement. Overall the experience was very, very positive.

Blue Umbrella is phenomenal! We started our basement renovation and after demo the contractor shared our current waterproofing system seems to be failing and we should replace it before finishing the basement. They don’t do waterproofing so we researched and contacted a bunch of companies.We landed on 3 companies with 3 different systems to do in-person visits. Blue Umbrella stood out and far exceeded the rest from the initial inquiry. They showed up prepared with a video explaining their process, why basements need waterproofing, the actual product they will install and those they remove from homes and explained the pros and cons of the systems. None of the other companies educated us on waterproofing at all. Blue Umbrella did.We ended up going with the full waterproofing offerings including: French drain, 2 sump pumps (we had these already with our old system), battery backup, humidifier and vapor barrier (these were new additions). We have had heavy rains since the system has been installed and there has been no water intrusion in the basement. Plus it doesn’t smell musty and damp as it did with the previous system.I will note that the owner Steve is amazing. He’s in contact with you throughout the entire process. He treats his workers very kind and is at the job site every day.

Tony and his team at Blue Umbrella Waterproofing did an awesome job with my basement. This company definitely knows the ins and outs of basement waterproofing. They had no problem answering every question that I had as it was a big project to have completed. BUW made my 150+ year old basement usable and dry! They were always on time, efficient in their work, and the team made sure there was nothing left behind. They also minimized dust and noise throughout the house while they were working. I am extremely happy with the outcome and beyond thankful to them. I would recommend BUW to anyone that is looking for a professional, reliable, and trustworthy business.

Excellent experience from start to finish. They sent Marvin to come to our house and explain how they operate from start to finish and to give an estimate. I requested for him to come back a week later so we could go over the details and it was scheduled and completed within days. The job was performed exactly as described and professional done. Blue Umbrella was referred to us by a trusted home inspector and were so glad. They were professional, prompt and had a whole team concerned with making sure our job was done right and at a fair price. Our questions were answered along the way and we had a couple consultations before work began. Our basement french drain system (including two sump pumps, vapor shield and dehumidifier) was installed over two days to assure everything was done right and looked spotless. Steve, Marvin and their team left everything better than they found it and gave us peace of mind along with great service. Highly recommended!

After meeting with 3 different waterproofing companies, we chose Blue Umbrella for a full french drain and sump pump installation. We couldn't be more pleased with our choice! We had an existing french drain system that was failing due to iron ochre so it was important to us that the company we hired fully understood this issue. From the beginning, Marvin and Steve (the owner) were great to work with. They were both very professional and very responsive. They answered all our questions and walked us through exactly how they would complete the work which made us feel extremely comfortable. On the day of the install, the foreman, Jose, and his team did a wonderful job. They completed the work in one day and left our basement cleaner than when they had started! They also provided us with 3 cleanouts for the drain and instructions on how to maintain it so we would not experience the same issues as with our old drain. Both Steve and Marvin were also present on the day of installation and Marvin stopped by after the work was completed to make sure that there were no issues and that we were satisfied with the work that was completed. It has been 2.5 weeks and we are thrilled that our basement is dry and that the sump pump is so quiet. We would not hesitate to recommend Blue Umbrella to anyone looking for a waterproofing company.

We received a free estimate visit along with the free course of how the french drains work. From the beginning of the project until the very end which included an immaculate clean up, every step of the process that was explained during the free estimate visit was checked off. The quality of work is exceptional along with the professionalism and knowledge of system being installed. Blue Umbrella Waterproofing came with a 5 star rating and they did not disappoint! Steve and Luis thoroughly assessed and explained the work that needed to be done to stop my basement from flooding. Their crew started the job on time and worked efficiently and cleanly. But, most importantly, the system they installed works to perfection! Over the last two years, the Northeast has experienced a lot more rain than usual. And this kind of rain has been causing the ground to get quickly saturated and water would seep through the sides of my house's foundation onto the basement floor. However, during the latest rain storms, Blue Umbrella's water management system has kept my basement completely dry! I'm so glad that I chose Blue Umbrella Waterproofing!

With the installation just completed a few days ago, the overall experience was very good. The work started on-time and ended on-time. The workers were very polite and made adjustments as needed to varying conditions. The clean-up was excellent. The concrete work is very good. There was no dust or residual dirt. One minor point: The sump pump configuration required parts that were not on hand. The standard configuration that is used is not flexible, and more attention should be paid to this. Otherwise, the price is right, the work is very professional, and the experience was very good.

I had four waterproofing companies come to give me estimates and describe the work that they were proposing to do. One company proposed to only do a partial waterproofing job. This would have been much cheaper but only part of problem would be solved. One firm had a very polished presentation but I didn’t like the system they were going to install. The other two companies were close in price and comparable in work to be done. Of these two companies I chose Blue Umbrella based on Tony’s excellent presentation and Steve’s involvement from the start.The work was started on time and completed sooner than promised. The workers and foremen were careful not to make more of a mess than was necessary. They put clean tarps on our wood floors and carefully covered all our belongings to keep them clean. The basement mostly finished with plasterboards walls and carpeted floor.I am very satisfied with the quality of work done and do not hesitate to recommend them if you need basements waterproofing!

It was a long journey to decide whether we were going to water proof our basement or not and Steve was there every step of the way. From initial call, quote and coordinating the job, Steve and Blue Umbrella team were courteous, responsive and did a great job of educating us on the plan and scope of work to make our basement dry. On the day of the installation, Jose (foreman) and his team were great as they completed a rather challenging job very efficiently while leaving the premises very clean and being mindful of the area with young children in the house.I could not recommend Steve and the Blue Umbrella team enough!

We had three floods in our newly carpeted basement before finding Blue Umbrella. While other contractors steered us in the wrong direction, Steve and team were honest, fair, and most importantly correct. Since we had our French drain installed, we haven't had a drop of water despite torrential rains. While we won't be going back to carpet (too many scars), we finally have restored confidence that we won't find a pool of water any time it rains. Thank you Blue Umbrella for that peace of mind! Excellent work and customer service - couldn't recommend them highly enough.

After watching several basement waterproofing videos on YouTube, I decided to search for local companies that used the French drain system that came most recommended instead of the system that I saw most often being replaced. I contacted Blue Umbrella for a free inspection on a Saturday morning and heard back from them immediately. Tony came out to do the inspection and he was very kind and knowledgeable. He had samples and a slide presentation that answered all of my concerns. I had met with other companies and they do not compare with the professionalism provided by Tony, Steve and the Blue Umbrella crew. After the inspection I was given a detailed estimate and a timeline for the work to be done. Upon signing the contract I was scheduled for the job and the work was completed within the time frame I was given. Both Tony and Steve were present on the day of installation and that’s not something you see very often. The guys at Blue Umbrella worked quickly and diligently and I would recommend them to anyone looking for an excellent company to take care of their basement waterproofing needs.Edit: videos added

After reviewing what they offered us and listening to what Jim our representative shared. Blue Umbrella versus the other companies we received quotes from we decided that Blue Umbrella was the company we wanted to help us out. The personalized service is top tier. Steve is extremely customer focused and ensures that his customers have a good understanding of why certain thing need to be done and what they are going to do.The entire process was incredibly smooth, Steve was very detailed in explaining step by step what was happening, he constantly and consistently checked-in to ensure all work passed his quality check.I was impressed by the install, from the scrub down and sanitizing they gave the basement, to the quality of their materials, the additional drain by the door they provided at no extra charge, and last but not least a draining area for the dehumidifier which saves me the twice daily trip down to the basement.I looked at a few waterproofing companies, and am glad I choose Blue Umbrella Waterproofing. Steve the Owner, Tony & Crew @ Blue Umbrella Waterproofing did a fantastic job from start to finish and exceeded our expectations.Steve was always attentive and responsive to my requests and questions and truly cares that his customers are receiving the best quality at the best value! I received 4 other quotes and Blue Umbrella provided the best price with the superior quality materials and components.He will take his time during the initial in-person consultation and clearly explain the whole process with designs and videos without any high-pressure snake oil sales-tactics.I had some previous house trap/sewage issues and Steve and Team kindly went above and excavated additional areas and recemented after the plumbers finished at no additional charge and saving us $$$.Steve spent a lot of time continuing to inspect the work throughout the project to ensure everything was spot on and a good amount of time and energy sanitizing and scrubbing our basement. I’m glad I picked Blue Umbrella out of 3 companies I consulted to address the water issue in my basement. Tony & the crew were on time. Tony reviewed with me what/how they’re going to do. A brand new sump pump was installed which I liked. Usually I would be seeing groundwater seepage but now after the project was completed, I have a dry basement. They cleaned before they left. Thanks to Blue Umbrella. I would recommend them without hesitancy. They’re excellent, professional & courteous. And the waterproofing was completed in one day! Of course, thanks to Steve. Blue Umbrella did a fantastic job installing a sump pump and interior french drain system in my house. Tony did a great job explaining the project to me during our initial conversation. The crew that came over was able to install the perimeter pipes, dig out a new sump pit, and install the sump all in one day, which was a huge plus. I had other places tell me it would take up to a week. And the final product looks great. Not only were they efficient with their time but they were also thorough. At one point the owner even stopped by and had the team fix a minor issue with my Bilco steps while they had it removed to get underneath. Somehow they even managed to thoroughly clean up the downstairs and yard before nightfall.

We got a french drain installed in the basement and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Steve and Tony are professional, quick to respond, and thorough in their explanations. The prices were also very reasonable, which I know because I had quotes from other contractors. All of their workers are also polite and hard working, getting the job done in just 1.5 days and our basement was not an easy job. I will undoubtedly call Blue Umbrella Waterproofing again for any other waterproofing needs.

We wanted our french drain replaced before finishing our basement. We found Blue Umbrella through positive recommendations in Facebook groups. Steve's estimate was mid priced and better than some other companies in the area. We are very happy with the work that was done and with Steve himself. He is very responsive, honest and knowledgeable and the work is quality. He doesn't try to sell you on anything, just provide his best recommendation. I ask a ton of questions and he answered all of them patiently. He stayed in contact when the work was being done and brought extra people to the job to get it done quicker. We recently purchased a home, there was a very heavy musty smell in the basement and we wanted to have a battery powered back up for the sump pump, since our town seems to loose power from time to time so we decided to waterproof the basement and install a back up for the sump pump avoid any potential issues. Blue Umbrella was highly recommended. They did a great job. They installed a heavy duty sump pump, emergency battery backup for the sump pumps with built in high water alarms and water profed the exposed walls. In the process of waterproofing the wall we realized how much water was sitting behind our basement walls and causing all this moisture damage. Absolutely flawless service. I cannot give any higher praise and recommendation for Blue Umbrella Waterproofing. Steve and his crew showed up right on time ready to go the day of the job, no messing around right to it. We had a decent sized French drain system installed in our basement. Before lunch the system was halfway complete, these guys work like a well oiled machine. By the time the job was completed I can honestly say the basement and garage were cleaner then before Blue Umbrella came in to do the work. I shopped around for weeks before making my choice to use Steve and the guys. Let me save you the hassle, bang for the buck Blue Umbrella provides much much more service and value for the price. Not only was Steve more competitive in pricing, he even came in with a battery backup dual cast iron pump system for much less than the base price of the standard system of other companies. Not to mention even 10k less than another company. My original appraisal walk through wasn't the ordinary sales pitch that I experienced with other sales reps. We recently purchased a home, and mold was found due to moisture in the basement. After the mold issue was resolved, we decided to waterproof the basement to avoid further issues. Blue Umbrella was highly recommended. They did a great job. They installed 2 heavy duty 1/2 horsepower sump pumps, 2 emergency battery backup sump pumps with built in high water alarms, 1 heavy duty Santa Fe dehumidifier which removes up to 70 pints a day of water from the air, and installed 14mil vapor barrier on exterior walls, stops moisture penetration, lifetime warranty. I was unaware of how much work is involved to waterproof a basement. They did a lot of work which would take another page to list everything they did! Their price was fair, and it was worth every penny for our own peace of mind! The crew headed by foreman Jefferson did a tremendous and beautiful job on the basement waterproofing. They arrived early, were professional and cleaned up nicely after themselves. We moved into our house about a year ago. The basement had one sump pump, but the water table in our area is high so we were getting a lot of moisture and sediment on the walls, as well as some small wet spots on the concrete floor. We would like to be able to finish the basement in the not too distant future and even the little bit of water that we were getting would have prevented us from moving forward with any additional improvements to the basement. It also helped attract spiders and kept us from wanting to go down there at all. We got quotes from Steve and one other waterproofer in the area, both of whom were recommended by a very reputable local water-remediation guy. Both companies had similar methods, but used different products/systems. While I felt both quotes were reasonable, the Blue Umbrella quote was slightly lower. But it was more than price that led my decision. My wife and I both liked the focus on keeping everything very clean, hanging tarps to keep dust from moving upstairs, using fans to pull dust outside, etc. Additionally, the system that Blue Umbrella uses is the industry standard and I felt more secure. The day that the team came to install the French drain, they were very efficient and kept me informed the entire time. Once they had opened up the floor, they brought me down to look at the footer and I could see the amount of water that was sitting under the house. It was definitely more than I expected. We have a decent sized basement, and there were a lot of obstacles to work around, but the team completed the job in a single day. The concrete finishing looks great…probably better than the concrete that was there before. The entire system is sealed up and we now have two sump pumps clearing the water out of the house. It has been a little over a month since it was installed, and every time I go down to the basement I notice that the floor is completely dry all around and the air just seems drier. I am currently monitoring the humidity levels to verify if my old dehumidifier is working properly, but it already feels better. I would recommend Steve and the guys at Blue Umbrella to anyone I know. The team was courteous and professional, and they did a great job, leaving me with a really great finished product. The team was top notch and Steve is very trustworthy. He’s honest with you right from the start and keeps you in the loop throughout the process. Great guy, great team, great company, great job!

Nothing but good things to say about the Blue Umbrella Waterproofing Company. I live in a flood zone and constantly was having water issues in my basement. They came same day I called to look at the problem and recommended that I get French drains. Also recommended to get a drain running across the basement floor where most of the water was entering from. They came a few days later and installed it in no time. They also installed a brand new pit and sump pump that was more efficient for my type of house. After the work was completed I have not had any more water entering my basement. All of the workers were professional and courteous. I would definitely recommend Blue Umbrella Waterproofing to anyone having water issues.
